Waziri Mkuu Kassim Majaliwa amesema Serikali inaendelea kutekeleza mipango mbalimbali ya kuhakikisha kunakuwa na ustawi wa afya ya mama na mtoto ikiwemo mpango wa Mama Samia Mentorship Program.
Amesema kuwa mpango huo ni mahsusi kwa mafunzo ya muda mfupi kazini kwa madaktari bingwa na wakunga ili waweze kuimarisha utoaji huduma kwenye Vituo vya Afya na Hospitali za Wilaya.
Amesema hayo leo (Jumapili, Julai 23, 2023) aliposhiriki katika mbio za NBC ‘NBC Marathon’ zilizofanyika jijini Dodoma.
Mheshimiwa Majaliwa amesema kuwa mpango mwingine wa Serikali ni kuongeza wigo wa kutoa huduma za kupima dalili za awali za saratani ya uzazi kutoka Vituo vya Afya 925 vilivyopo hadi kufikia vituo vya Afya 1,025 hapa nchini.
“Mwingine ni kuimarisha wigo wa kutoa huduma za watoto wachanga kwa ujenzi wa wodi maalum, kununua vifaa tiba na mafunzo kwa watumishi kutoka hospitali 175 hadi kufikia hospitali 275 katika mwaka 2023/2024”.
Katika hatua nyingine Mheshimiwa Majaliwa ameitaka Wizara ya Utamaduni, Sanaa na Michezo kushirikiana na sekta binafsi zenye lengo la kuinua michezo kama wanavyofanya NBC.
