Naibu Katibu Mkuu Wizara ya Fedha, Bi Jenifa Omolo, amewaasa Watakwimu nchini kuchambua, kutafsiri na kutumia matokeo ya Sensa ya Watu na Makazi ya Mwaka 2022 katika kupanga, kufuatilia na kutathmini utekekelezaji mipango na programu mbalimbali za maendeleo ili kufikia uchumi wa viwanda.
Alisema hayo kwa niaba ya Waziri wa Fedha wakati akifungua mafunzo ya siku mbili kwa Watakwimu wa Tanzania Bara na Zanzibar yaliyoandaliwa na Chama Cha Watakwimu Tanzania (TASTA), yanayofanyika jijini Dodoma.

Alisema kuwa ni muhimu kwa Watakwimu kutumia fursa ya mafunzo hayo ili kuhakikisha kuwa wanatumia matokeo ya Sensa kama katika kufuatilia na kutathmini utekelezaji wa programu za maendeleo za kikanda na Kimataifa ambayo Tanzania imeridhia.
“Serikali inasisitiza matumizi ya matokeo ya Sensa kwa kutambua kuwa nchi yetu inaweza kupata thamani ya uwekezaji mkubwa katika utekelezaji wa Sensa ikiwa tu matokeo ya Sensa yatatumika kwa lengo lililokusudiwa katika kupanga, kutekeleza na kutathmini sera, mipango na programu zetu za maendeleo ambazo zitazingatia hali halisi ya idadi ya watu wetu, “alisema Bi. Aidha, alitoa wito kwa wadau wote wakiwemo wananchi kuwa sehemu ya mchakato wa matumizi ya matokeo hayo katika kupanga mipango mbalimbali ya maendeleo kwakuwa wakifanya hivyo wataweza kupata thamani ya fedha zilizotolewa na Serikali katika kufanikisha zoezi hilo.
Watakwimu kutoka Tanzania Bara na Zanzibar, wakifuatilia mafunzo yaliyolenga kuwawezesha kutafsiri matokeo ya Sensa kwa maendeleo ya wananchi, mafunzo hayo yanayofanyika jijini Dodoma, yameandaliwa na Chama Cha Watakwimu Tanzania (TASTA).
